Lesbians in the Media: The Impact of Corporate Stereotyping on Equality

For my senior thesis, I analyzed how marketers are ignoring the lesbian demographic as a consumer segment, and its detrimental impact on the LGBTQ+ equality movement. After extensive research, I discovered a common theme among the lack of lesbian representation in the media: corporate & social stereotypes born out of the Second Wave of Feminism in the 1960s, still being considered truths in our modern American society.
